[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he next two months should bring on the first runs of the long awaited striped torpedoes, (wahoo) and I can hardly wait! Hopefully you have changed your line, checked your rigs and bought some fresh gear. The next two months, wahoo will run from 10-to-50-pounds. Going deep will be the key, running heavy trolling weights up to 36-ounces will be common throughout the Exuma Cays. Run the darker colors such as black and blue, purple and black, and the always present blue and white! There will also be a decent run of mahi mahi so a high speed green and yellow and a blue and white jet will cover the bases. There has also been some white marlin around this time last year. Bottom fishing should really pick up with the arrival of cooler waters, bottom dwellers in 20 to 120 feet will produce a mixed bag. Deep dropping in 400 to 1200 feet will also be strong this time of and will be a great way to finish up the day if the fishing is slow.
