[dropcap]M[/dropcap]arch will be a fun filled month for fishing—the mahi-mahi bite will be in full swing and they will be here in large numbers.

Mahi-mahi can be caught using colorful skirts with ballyhoo. Best hookup spots would be Dutch Bar, Middle Bar, or Shallow Ground.

March is also the month for tiger grouper, which can be caught in depths of 30 to 80 feet using jigs, as well as trolling. Yellowfin tuna will also be around and can be caught with live bait or trolling with plugs. Some wahoo will still be around. They can be caught either trolling at speeds of 6- to 7-knots or high speed trolling at 15- to 20-knots.

All in all, March will be a fun time out on the water. Plan an escape and come to North Eleuthera for some warm weather and great fishing.
