[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he underwater zebras, wahoo, continue to congregate along the Bridge, the natural underwater bridge that connects South Eleuthera and Little San Salvador.

Captains are using pink and purple lures to raise the fish and are landing wahoo regularly between 30- and 60-pounds. Captains locally like to troll a little slower (approximately 10 knots) so they can also add ballyhoo to the spread. This assortment helps to attract in other migratory fish such as mahi-mahi that also are biting regularly.

Interestingly with the mahi-mahi landed, the local captains have noticed billfish markings. And with the 78-degree water temp along the Bridge right, billfish are certainly in the area.

As we look into the month of February, we traditionally find cooler waters that will improve the wahoo bite all through the Exuma Sound. If the seas allow, run around to the Atlantic side of South Eleuthera heading north of the Bridge in 150-feet to 400-feet for the bigger underwater zebras.
