Chris Mauldin caught this 20 lbs Red Snapper in Pensacola, FL.
I have a list of species that I would like to catch this year on fly. I can now mark off red snapper. While fishing a wreck off of Pensacola, FL we had about a dozen snapper come up to the surface and luckily I had the fly rod ready to go. This was my first snapper on fly and it gave me a great fight. After a few photos it was released to be caught again.
