Lake Seminole Fishing Report: June 2014

Lake Seminole Fishing Report: June 2014
Paul Tyre & Nic Jeter

Lake Seminole is starting to clear from the recent rains and the fishing is on fire. Bass are being caught on top-water baits like the Strike King Pro Model Buzzbaits in White and Chartreuse. The average winning tourney sacks have weighed an average of 30 pounds. That’s pretty impressive for this time of year. The Hydrilla is starting to grow on the lake and the Strike King KVD Sexy Frog is becoming quite successful over the top of that. Bass are being caught around really nice shad pawns in the Flint, the Chattahoochee and Spring Creek.

The campers down in Bass Island Campground at Wingate’s Lunker Lodge are catching nice Bream, Shellcrackers and Catfish like crazy. And they haven’t even had to leave the campground to do so. They’re catching Bream and Shellcrackers on Crickets, and they’re pulling in some impressive Catfish too. That’s a happy bunch down there right now. Good luck and let’s go fishing.
