Darrill Gaschler caught this 77 inch, 38 inch girth Marlin in 10 miles east of Ceasers creek in Miami Dade.
My son [ Mike Mas] and I [ Darrill Gaschler ] were trolling for Dolphin on my 22 foot Pathfinder. 35 minutes into trolling with rigged Ballyhoo with a blue skirt, this Marlin struck. It took 3 hours and 15 minutes to bring boat side. We revived the fish in about 45 minutes and released it.
Not bad for a couple of back country fishermen, Huh !!!
