CACTUS Tournament 2014… Sticking to Fishing with Captains

CACTUS[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he inaugural CACTUS, Captain Angler Citation Tournament is off to a great start with participants reeling in some great catches. The tournament will continue to run from now until November 9, 2014.

Participants choose, on their day of fishing, with a captain of choice from the NC Charters Page of Coastal Angler/ The Angler Magazine to enter the tournament by fee of $30 per person. This gives them a shot at a guaranteed purse of over $6,000 dollars in cash and prizes. These cash prizes are sponsored by Wild Wing Café and Sweetwa- ter Brewing Company. The entry form for the tournament also becomes a raffle ticket for a number of great prizes.

Finding and catching fish is challenging at least and many anglers work hard at trying to match the catches of area captains. Captains are known for putting clients on fish, and are proven to produce great catches on many of their charters. They are experts at delivering the fishing experience to beginners and experienced fisherman alike. We encourage you to join them in their quest for citation catches.

The CACTUS tournament gives individuals the opportunity to compete at the tournament level while using the strengths of a captain to work in their favor and have a shot to win great prizes. There are six prizes of $1,000 or more to be awarded. There’s at least $1,000 for each of the following fish species: mahi, cobia, king mackerel, Span- ish mackerel, flounder, and speckled trout.
