From the Publisher – March 2017

The month of March means Spring is here. Springtime in South Florida brings longer days with the beginning of Daylight Savings Time on March 12th along with some of the best fishing of the year. Snook will be in good numbers just off the beach and near the inlets as bait begins to migrate north. Some of the biggest dolphin of the year will be caught as we start to see easterly winds become more prevalent. Plenty of sailfish will be around the reefs and we will start to see cobia in good numbers as they migrate north after spending the winter in the Gulf of Mexico. Freshwater fishing should also start to get hot as water levels in the Everglades drop and push the fish off the flats and into the canal systems.
