[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he KDW Fishing Tournament to benefit The ARC of Martin County is right around the corner. Set for Saturday, June 11, with a Gentleman’s Start at 7 a.m. at St. Lucie, Jupiter and Palm Inlets, this is an outstanding multi-county fundraising event.

A captain’s meeting will be held on Thursday, June 9, 6 p.m., at the Twisted Tuna in Port Salerno, followed on Saturday, June 11 by the first-class fishing event. After weigh-in, an awards dinner follows at the Twisted Tuna at 5 p.m., where $5,000 in cash prizes will be awarded, and great services and goods to bid on during a silent auction.

The fishing community’s participation of the tournament will support the works of the ARC of Martin County. The 501 (c) 3 non-for-profit organization is dedicated to empowering children and adults with developmental disabilities to achieve their fullest potential through residential, vocational, educational, behavioral and other healthcare services.

Registration fee is $250 per boat until May 27 and $300 thereafter. Additional dinners are $35 per person. Sponsorships on all levels are available. For information, call (772) 283-2525 or visit www.arcmc.org.
