Materials:
Name: Coldwater Candy
Hook: Tiemco 105 – sz’s 10-6
Thread: UTC – GSP 100 white
Body: Tie on the hook in the following order:
- Fur from white rabbit zonker
- Angel hair – electric pink
- Fur from olive rabbit zonker
Flash: Krystal flash – smolt blue
Head: Fish Skull – Fish Mask #3
Eyes: Flat prism – 1/8” red
Coldwater Candy can be fished below indicators or straight-line nymphed (aka chuck ‘n ducked). Don’t be afraid to mix up colors and materials in order to match the parr hatch in your favorite water! I like the Fish Masks. They make for a nice clean finish of the tie. Additionally, I use the Loon UV Clear Fly Finish – Thick to stick the mask and eyes on….both can be done with super glue!
