This weekend has all the indicators for a great weekend of fishing. The moon will be full on Thursday and into Friday; a weak low pressure front is pushing through on Friday but the barometer will continue to fall into late Sunday under fair skies and moderate winds; all this leads us to believe it should be a great weekend to go fishing.Apr 22nd, 2016

With warming temperatures, dropping lake levels and clearing water, the bass fishing on Lake Okeechobee is turning on. Solid fishing is being reported on all sides of the lake and in a variety of conditions such as in the lily pads, grass beds, hydrilla pockets, and in the channels inter-connecting the deeper water with the shallows. If you chose to fish for bass last weekend in Lake Okeechobee, Lake Istokpoga, or any of the shallow water lakes you probably had a pretty rough go of it due to the sudden drop in water temperatures. Some lakes were enjoying water temperatures in the high 60’s only to drop into the upper 50’s over the weekend. The bass just hunkered down and were not in a feeding mood.Mar 3rd, 2016
