Weekly Okeechobee Fishing Report: Dec. 11-13
Finally some cool weather has set upon us with most of the area seeing upper-50’s to low 60’s at night. According to all pundits, this is exactly what we have been waiting for to turn-on the fishing. The north and west sides of Lake Okeechobee have been on fire for shiner fishermen these last few weeks so expect conditions to improve on the rest of the lake. Dec 10th, 2015
Weekly Okeechobee Fishing Report: Dec. 4-6
Another weekend and yet another weather front is to play a dominate roll in this weekend’s fishing. When venturing out this weekend you’ll need to have a Plan A, B, and C prepared for the changing conditions. High winds and some rainy periods may cause you to shift gears a few times this weekend. Every month when I write this report I start with the bass fishing and move onto whatever else is biting, not this month. We're gonna start with the Speck fishing. In the old days, pre-internet that is, determining what a reel, lure, or old rod was worth used to be simple to figure out. Nov 29th, 2015
Highlands Fishing Report: Dec. 2015
I've had the opportunity to spend quite a bit of time on the area lakes since the last edition of the Coastal Angler, fishing for both bass and crappie, and both have been tough situations. Nov 29th, 2015
Palm Beach Kayak Report: Dec. 2015
Well I’d like to hope December will bring some cold fronts, but we will have to see since November felt like June. Coming into the winter months when water temperatures drop, targeting areas that warm quickly like docks, mangroves and potholes will be the best bet. We do a lot of sight fishing this time of year when the water clears and finding pot holes is a breeze. Nov 29th, 2015
