This is the time to catch a lot of snook, tarpon, big jacks, and big sharks. Look for the bait and you will find the fish. You will see tarpon and snook jumping out of the water getting ready for winter by filling up on these mullet.Capt. Chris SharpSep 1st, 2016
A drop in barometric pressure before a storm will be an additional bonus to this epic fall fishing. Snook season is open (on September 1) and the scouting trips indicate a good bite. Plenty of snook are being caught over the last couple weeks from the inlet to the Roosevelt Bridge.Capt. John YoungSep 1st, 2016
September has personally always been a great month for wahoo. Concentrate on live baiting large goggle eyes deeper in the water column. The best time of the month will be a few days before and after the full moon.Brian NelliSep 1st, 2016
As my jig was sent down on my first drop all I could think about was that stupid fish I came here for. My jig hit the bottom and I started to work it to the top. Before I could get more than a few turns of the handle in, I had a fish on.Christina WeberSep 1st, 2016
September’s highlights are based around bottom spots, nearshore reefs and wrecks, high-speed trolling the edge for wahoo, and long runs out to the deep in search of dolphin. Early morning wahoo action can be expected through September, especially around the full moon.Capt. Scott FawcettAug 30th, 2016
Anglers eagerly await the arrival of the annual fall mullet run. The beaches and rivers will be filled with mullet and you can find lots of predators following the bait this month. Look for tarpon, snook, jacks, bluefish and many other species feeding on the mullet. Top water and suspending lures work fantastic in September. Try a D.O.A. Baitbuster or Big Fish lure while fishing around the large schools of mulletCapt. Charlie ConnerAug 30th, 2016
There is still a good snapper bite around the bridges and along the channel edges and they will be feeding on live shrimp or a small white bait. You will want to use about a 4-foot fluorocarbon leader, a ½- to 1-ounce weight and a #2 long shank hook. The bonito, Spanish mackerel and big jacks will be following the bait school as they come into the Fort Pierce Inlet.Capt. Joe WardAug 30th, 2016
