Visit Palm Beach And Riviera Marina

We peel away the pages of the calendar as the days grow shorter and the brilliant colors of fall fade to gray. The waning hours of sunlight signal that it’s time to pull out the coats and layers of clothing in preparation for longer nights and colder days. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Imagine instead, you are basking in the sun on the deck, gazing out on the sapphire blue water with palm trees gently moving in the tropical breeze. Welcome to south Florida, and all that is here for you to enjoy! When considering a location to bring your vessel, there are many factors to ponder. First and foremost, how is the inlet that will provide access to the Atlantic Ocean? Is it deep enough that you are able to easily navigate and more important, safely pass during rougher seas. The Lake Worth Inlet in central Palm Beach County is currently 33 feet deep, according to the Army Corp of Engineers. It is one of the deepest in the area.

Tucked just inside the inlet, protected by Peanut Island to the east is the Riviera Beach Marina. The facility has undergone a massive rebuild, with new state-of-the-art storm-rated Marinetek concrete floating docks and Techno Marina Promenade docks throughout. Each of the 111 slips has power, water, sewer pump out and cable. Complimentary dock boxes are available for long-term (annual or seasonal) leases. The slips can easily accommodate boats from 30 to 70 feet with 2,000 feet of alongside dockage for vessels up to 200 feet, and all perimeter docks are wave-articulating breakwaters. The upland area is now under renovation and will include new retail centers, a marina events center, new fueling facilities, a ships store, and several waterside restaurants.

The location is just minutes to the gulfstream and some of the best inland and offshore fishing in the world. West End in the Bahamas is 60 miles due east, making Riviera Beach Marina a great jump off spot for a Bahamas or other Caribbean trip. The county boasts 45 miles of stunning coastline, making it paradise for the outdoor enthusiast. It is home to world-renowned snorkeling and diving sites and plenty of shops with all the gear and expertise needed to put you on the right path.

Palm Beach County has more than 160 challenging world-class golf courses and is home to the Professional Golfers Association of America. There are over 85 parks and recreational facilities that offer everything from kayaking, paddle boarding, water skiing, skate parks, bike paths, ball fields, tennis courts, water parks, picnic areas as well as natural wildlife areas.

There are many waterfront restaurants on the Intracoastal Waterway to enjoy. Nearby downtown West Palm has a newly developed waterfront the gives you great access to the downtown shops and restaurants. From there you can hop on the trolley that travels to Cityplace and around downtown to expand your options.

Palm Beach County and the Riviera Beach Marina are a great place to enjoy the winter months and make memories that will last a lifetime.
