The 2014 Michigan Hunting and Trapping Digest is out. It’s not a complete collection of all the hunting regulation and laws, but a condensed digest issued for hunters’ convenience. Pick one up at an outdoor outfitter near you or check it our on the DNR website.
Major Changes
- New license structure see pg. 6
- A base license is required for every resident and nonresident who hunts
in Michigan. Hunters may purchase their other licenses only after they have obtained a base license for the year.
- A Woodcock Stamp is now required for all woodcock hunters, see pg. 39
- Beginning in 2014, a base license is required for persons to hunt small game on their own enclosed farmlands where they live.
