Tom Houde aka Yakman caught this 27″ and 7.85 Pounds Fluke in East Passage – Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island.
There are some clues on my kayak in the form of stickers that will narrow down the precise location of this catch if you drop your offering in 65′ of water. I caught this fluke on a 2 oz Fluke Bomb (Chartreuse) with a 4″ Gulp curly tail on it sweetened with a 7″ Bluefish belly strip. The day was sunny, calm and picture perfect conditions. Launching off an island in the bay to get to our destination our motley crew of Ocean State Kayak Fishing, Aquidneck Island Striper Team and Three Belle Outfitters Fishing kayak anglers worked our target area over for several hours catching some nice fish along the way. 3 members of our crew swept the kayak division and enjoyed a feast and drinks aplenty at the weigh in. There were 1200 plus anglers fishing in several divisions. This is one of the best one day tournaments in the Northeast. Great job by the Big Game Sportfishing crew that made this day a success.
