Chasin’ Tails Outdoors is exciting news in Atlantic Beach and not only for selling a complete line of bait and fishing tackle.
Their new store is the first new construction project on the Atlantic Beach causeway in many years. The one exception would be the rebuilding of the El Zarape restaurant which burned on Christmas Eve in 2008.
Chasin’ Tails Outdoors started their business in the former Aaron’s Bait and Tackle Shop on the Atlantic Beach Causeway in the fall of 2007. They closed in December of 2007 to renovate the store and opened again in March of 2008. The new Chasin’ Tails Outdoors location boasts twice the size in retail space, twice the freezer capacity and twice the working space to perform services such as rod and reel repair, rigging, etc.
There are two new docks at the rear of the s
tore so that you can stop in from the water to get any bait, tackle and supplies you need.
The new store, although already open, will combine its grand opening with the Customer Appreciation Day that Chasin’ Tails has traditionally held at the beginning of each season. This event will be Saturday, June 29 and there will be some free giveaways all day.
Pictured are the new docks, the front of the store and the new bait tanks, which use water circulated directly from the channel in the rear of the building. Over the years, Capt. Matt, Ray and Susan have developed a well-deserved reputaton for having the freshest live bait around, and each of the new bait tanks feature an air system on the tank to keep bait fresh and healthy for the customers.
There is an additional live bait center out back of shop to hold extra stock of live bait during the busy season. Over the course of the year you will find live shrimp, mullet, sea urchins, eels & mud minnows.
