[dropcap]W[/dropcap]ith the constant cold fronts moving in and the colder temps, it can only signal one thing, the arrival of the trout in the rivers.
The action has been non-stop. We have been working 1/4 ounce mojo jig heads under popping corks from NO-SLACK TACKLE with a 24″ leader around the points and under birds for hungry trout. Once the sun clears the tree tops, we have been switching over to 3/8 ounce jig heads and bouncing the bottom for trout and reds. The color that has worked well has been the D.O.A grub in rootbeer with the chartreuse tail or opening night SALTWATER ASSASIN. Another good bait is the MIRROLURE GLADSHAD OR MIRRODINE baits. With each passing cold front that pushes the water temps lower, the trout will continue to bunch up in the deeper rivers. The Tensas and Raft rivers will be the hotspots. I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas and continued tight lines… Hope to see you on the water this winter.
