Dan Legere caught this 36" snook in 10,000 Islands.
It was a gift from the snook gods. I was killing a little time waiting for the tide to turn and start back in so I could cross a shallow flat and fish a redfish bay that I know. I was pitching a Gulp – New Penny on a jig head along the oyster bars around some small islands killing some time. She was laying in a foot of water just off a point of an oyster bar and erupted when the Gulp hit the water. My boat soon bottomed out on the oysters and as she roared off I was certain I would never land her but everything went my way and we got this photo before releasing her.
