caught this 30 to 34 inches Redfish in St. Marks.
Terrie Huffmaster from Brooks county Ga. on 3-15-20 my husband Eric and I went out of Aucilla and went to fish some areas close to St Marks! I decided that I was gonna fish with a pin fish under a four horseman’s cork, the water temp had gotten to 76 degrees.
Well I chose the right bait. Just off the flats in about 5-6 ft of water on a high tide starting to fall, the reds went to biting like crazy! It was one after another, my cork would disappeared and drag to peeling. I caught more reds that day than I’ve ever caught in one day. Absolutely crazy! My hands were so tore up catching these beauties, it took a few days to heal but worth it. Released a lot over 27 inches unharmed. And was able to get a few pictures of a couple caught as the sun was going down. Was an amazing day for sure and not to mention I was one happy woman! A day to remember for sure! Now is the time to get out and practice social distancing on the water while reconnecting with Mother Nature!
