The 28th Annual Marine Industries Christmas Boat Parade on Naples Bay will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017. “It’s a Country Christmas” is this year’s boat parade theme. Winners will take best in class and best overall theme winner. The Naples Yacht Club will host the judging committee and VIP guests this year while the Naples City Dock is under a complete rebuild. The parade of lighted boats will start at 6:15pm. All size boats are welcome to enter and there is no fee to participate. Frank Perrucci, Boat Parade Chairman asks that participants and patrons consider a tax-deductible donation to the Ricky King Foundation, the parade committee’s charity for the annual event.
PARADE ROUTE: The parade will start at 6:15pm from Marker 18 (Bayview park & Hamilton Harbor marina area) and will continue north to the Naples Yacht Club, then to Pincher’s Crab Shack at the Gordon River bridge.
The parade may be viewed from: Pincher’s, Riverwalk Restaurant, Naples Landing, Kelly’s Fish House, The Boat House Restaurant and Bayview Park.
Awards and gift certificates with an approximate value of $3,000.00 will be given to the best decorated boats in their category. There will be approximately 8 to 10 winners.
The Captain’s Meeting is a must attend for those wishing to participate. It will be held Wednesday, Dec. 6th at 6:30 p.m. at Pincher’s at Tin City.
The Boat Parade is sponsored by the Marine Industries Association of Collier County and benefits The Ricky King Fund, a foundation that, since 1978, has provided support for the unmet medical needs of children. Tax-deductible donations are welcome and 100% of donations will be presented to the Ricky King Fund at a special Parade Award Ceremony in January, 2018.
