Freshwater Fishing Forecast: November

Time for a cool down and a hot bass bite for the month of November. By now all our beautiful scenic rivers should be receiving less runoff from rain and the salt water will be pushing more shrimp and pogies in for bass to gorge themselves on. Look for some fast pace action on theeast Pascagoula River above I-10 bridge. By November the white shrimp should be popping out of the water with pot belly bass in tow. Target cypress trees along the watersedge with buzzbaits and D.O.A. Shrimp.

Venture further up east Pascagoula and you will find many bayous to try your luck at fooling those brackish backwater bass. Roberts and Robinson Bayous are a good bet when the tide is high and
falling. Remember this time of year the bass are pushing bait off the main river into “dead end” bayous and lakes, so concentrate your efforts in those areas for a November bass bonanza.

Don’t forget the annual Thanksgiving Day Tournament hosted by Dog River Bassmasters out of Roberts Fish Camp, November 24th!
