Hospice Regatta Is May 21
On Saturday, May 21, sailboats from throughout south Florida will gather off the shores of Fort Lauderdale Beach to compete in the 2016 Hospice Regatta. For years, this highly competitive sailing event has raised funds to support hospice care for patients and families coping with a life-limiting illness.
Racing begins with the first race signal at 11 a.m. on May 21. Following a day of racing, skippers, crew members, friends, family, guests and supporters of the regatta will gather for the post-race awards dinner at Coral Ridge Yacht Club. Attendees will enjoy dinner, live entertainment, silent auction and dancing under the stars. This event is open to all, so bring the family and enjoy the party!
All proceeds benefit Hospice by the Sea and Hospice of Broward County’s programs and services for patients and families in Broward County. For the past 37 years, Hospice by the Sea and Hospice of Broward County have made a difference in the lives of countless families by bringing compassionate care and reassurance into the lives of patients and families in times of great need. Funds raised through the foundation provide the highest standard in end-of-life care to our community.
The 2016 Hospice Regatta is proudly hosted by the Lauderdale Yacht Club, Hillsboro Inlet Sailing Club and Gulfstream Sailing Club. For ticket information, call 561-494-6884.
