Joseph Rutigliano’s Record-Tying Tautog

On April 18, 2024, Joseph Rutigliano was fishing off the coast of Ocean City, Maryland, when he caught an impressive 70-centimeter tautog. This catch allowed Joseph to tie the IGFA All-Tackle Length World Record for the species. He was aboard Chasin’ Tide Charters with Captain Chase Eberle when he hooked the fish. After measuring the length with his official IGFA Measuring Device, Joseph successfully released the fish back into the water.
