Here’s what they’re catching out of Bradenton Beach, on Florida’s west coast, huge mangrove snapper.
Capt. Larry McGuire, with Show Me The Fish Charters, sent in this photo of a monster mangrove snapper caught by Joe Diebold, of Apollo Beach, Fla. Joe is a retired firefighter from Cincinnati, Ohio, who now fishes pretty much full time.
The big fish was caught in about 125 feet of water offshore of Anna Maria Island. It gobbled a live grunt. The party also caught more large snapper of various species, some firetruck red grouper, scamp, and some really big gag grouper, some which broke off.
