November already. People start thinking about turkeys, football and fishing. This is one of my favorite times of the year. The trout and reds are all over the fl ats chasing fleeing shrimp. The flats
from Daphne to mobile are alive with hungry fish. I have been keying on diving birds feeding on shrimp being chased by hungry trout. I have been using a NO-SLACK TACKLE popping cork with a 20″ leader with a NO-SLACK TACKLE 1/4 oz. jig head with a green sparkle beetle with great success. Some mornings when the wind is down, we have been drifting the flats throwing MIRROLURE she-dogs and top pups to catch hungry trout on topwater. The bite has been amazing. The water temps have been steadily coming down and the fish are on the move into the interior Delta, soon the rivers and all the points around will be teeming with fish.
So, get out and catch a boat load of fish and start a new tradition. Hope to see ya on the water.
