[dropcap]F[/dropcap]owl River is a great place to fish in December. The trout will be in the deep holes during the cold fronts, so use plastic jigs, or live shrimp if you can find them. Try trolling jigs or crank baits that will work the bottom. The deeper you can get your bait, the better. The reds will be on the edge of the holes, but sometimes the reds will stack up in the grass. On the very cold mornings when the sun starts to come up, the reds will start to work their way to the shallows to warm up. Last year I found fish in a foot of water, when the temp was in the low 40’s. Check it out on YouTube: âFishing for reds in the winter timeâ Good luck and good fishing.
