Well fellow anglers for me it’s time for long johns and jig heads, must be winter time. No the long johns are not some hot new secret lure. Their main function is to keep this Florida boy warm. The Fluke series of baits by Zoom are a tried and true tournament competitor. Available in five sizes and a wide variety of colors there is a Fluke to handle just about any condition or presentation. They can be fished weightless with a simple off-set hook, they can be fished with a Carolina, Drop Shot, or Texas Rig, and they can be added onto a weighted jig or spinner for extra action. SPECIES SPOTLIGHT: Longnose Gar

Gars represent a primitive armored fish from Florida’s pre-historic past. There are four species of gar fish that inhabit Florida’s waters; the Alligator Gar, the Florida Gar, the Spotted Gar and the Longnose Gar.
