Owned and operated by local residents, Paul and Wendy Riccio, Southeast Coating and Fabrication is a full service metal fabrication, machine and powder coat facility located in Pompano Beach. Nearly twenty years ago, Paul started out as a performance auto parts reseller which eventually led to his own private label product line that he outsourced to other manufacturers. As his product line grew, he saw the need for better quality control and slowly brought manufacturing in house.
As an avid boater and motorcyclist, Paul has been able to forge many friendships and establish solid business relationships in Broward county. Over the years, he would get phone calls asking if he could weld this or do you think you could powder coat something for me and even can you help me manufacture a product that I have an idea for? As time passed, those phone calls became more frequent and presented an opportunity to expand. The decision was made to increase the shop size, add staff and acquire more equipment to better serve the community.
With the finest equipment in the industry such as a Hurco VM20i Vertical CNC mill, Hurco TM8i CNC lathe, Ercolina CNC tube bender and tube roller along with a Viper CNC plasma table capable of cutting up to four foot by ten foot sheets of one inch thick solid steel, their capabilities are endless. They also have the latest in powder coating equipment from Gema and Colmet and their welding department has the latest MIG and TIG machines from Miller Industries. Bridgeports, iron worker, punch press and sheer, cold saws and band saws round out the space on the shop floor.
According to Paul, the heart and soul of the operation are his employees. Shop Foreman Robert started his career as a welder in the United States Air Force in 1983 where he earned numerous accolades and certifications. Robert’s skill set, attention to detail and knowledge of materials insures every job is completed with the highest of standards. With 16 years of experience, Joe Bryant heads the powder coat division. His knowledge of materials, primers, top coats and pre treatments is vital to a beautifully finished piece. As a talented welder, fabricator and hands on guy, Joe often jumps over to the fabrication side of things and can run every piece of equipment in the shop. George Neal is the lead machinist and brings thirty two years of experience to the table. With so many years in the industry, George can take the most complicated project from conception to completion seamlessly, professionally and on time every time.
