Sport Clips Haircuts – where men and boys are treated to an “MVP Experience” haircut in a sports-themed environment – is proud to announce its expansion to Downtown Boston. This unique, sports- themed haircutting concept offers a fun, friendly and relaxing experience for everyone.
“We are excited to bring Sport Clips to the downtown Boston area,” said Mitch Muroff, who owns another Sport Clips located at the Suffolk Downs Shops in Revere with his business partner, Bill Sage. “It’ll be great for the business community to take a break in their day, come by, get a haircut and catch up on the sports of the day.”
Sport Clips stylists specialize in male hair care and offer customers an MVP Experience—a precision haircut, a massaging shampoo, a steamed towel treatment, and a scalp treatment. Special lighting and massaging chairs promote relaxation, and 42-inch flat-screen televisions play sports programming at each haircut station. Customers can also enjoy the 60-inch flat screen lobby TV, along with reading material.
“This is such a different experience for the customer,” Bill Sage added. “With Boston sports teams doing so well the last few years, what better way to keep up with them, get a haircut and not miss a pitch, shot, dunk or pass.”
Sport Clips is located at 185 Essex St, Boston MA, just a block from Boston’s South Station. Owners Bill Sage and Mitchell Muroff, family members who previously owned the Howard Johnson Hotel, and Bisuteki Japanese Steakhouse, plan to open additional Sport Clips locations in the area in the future. Sport Clips Haircuts is headquartered in Georgetown, Texas and was established in 1993 by founder and CEO Gordon Logan. The sports-themed haircutting franchise, which specializes in haircuts for men and boys, is ranked by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the top 20 “Fastest-Growing Franchises,” and in the top 10 percent of the “Franchise 500.” Sport Clips is the “Official Haircutter” of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), offers veterans preferential pricing on haircuts and franchises, and was named as one of the “Top Franchises for Veterans” by Franchise Business Review. Our “Help A Hero” program has raised almost $2 million to help deployed and hospitalized U.S. service members call home through the VFW’s Operation Uplink. Sport Clips is a proud sponsor of Joe Gibbs Racing’s NASCAR drivers Denny Hamlin and Elliott Sadler, and partners with numerous NCAA and professional sports teams.
