[dropcap]S[/dropcap]tuart Sailfish Club’s 30th annual Saltwater Sisters Lady Angler Tournament is slated for October 16 and 17, 2015 at Pirate’s Cove Resort and Marina in Port Salerno, Florida. This year’s festivities will embrace a “Movie” theme and proceeds will benefit Friends in Pink, Windsor Community Angels, and the Sailfish Club Scholarship program.
Heading up to the tournament, several pre-tournament parties will spark the excitement. Teams will be asked to dress up as characters from any big screen movie and guests not participating in the tournament are invited to dress up as well.
Margaret Dyer, chairperson of the event, is especially excited about this year’s tournament, “I want everyone to have a lot of fun this year,” she said. “In fact, at the end of the tournament, I want people to say ‘What a great party and fishing tournament!’” Dyer added, “We had a great tournament last year and raised a lot of money, but our goals are bigger this year. So we’re pulling out all the stops and making sure this will be one of the best tournaments in the area. We invite anyone to come out for the parties, even if they’re not planning on fishing.”
On Saturday, September 12, Tie-One-On at the Tiki Bar at Pirate’s Cove Resort and Marna will kick-start tournament events. Those who donate a bikini top will receive a free gift, tournament pre-registration will take place, and an honor/memory board will be onsite and available to honor those who have survived or lost the battle with breast cancer.

Late registration and check in will begin at 4:30 p.m. with cocktails and a buffet at 6:00 p.m. The mandatory Captains Meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. and the evening will cap off with entertainment at 8:00 p.m.
The tournament itself will take place on Saturday, October 17, beginning with water gun fights and a boat parade/decorating contest from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. Boat captains are asked to decorate their boats in a movie theme. Fishing begins with “lines-in” at 8:30 a.m., with all boats leaving from various locations throughout the Treasure Coast, and ends with “lines-out” at 3:30 p.m.
