Sebastian Inshore Forecast: February 2017

February may well be the best month for gator sized seatrout in the Sebastian Area. The coldest weather will drive over-sized trout into areas of protected deep water such as canals and creeks. Live shrimp, D.O.A Shrimp, 52M Mirro-Lures and soft plastics fished slowly near the bottom have yielded my clients some incredible catches and memories over the years.Jan 30th, 2017

Kingfishing remains strong about 10 miles north of Sebastian Inlet. Keep a sharp eye out for cobia as the month progresses. Last year we crushed the dolphin in March so watch for the dolphin bite to really pick up later this month. Jan 30th, 2017

Kayak Fishing Report and Forecast: January 2017

Pompano, bluefish, jacks and Spanish mackerel become more of the focus in January. I like to target areas near the inlets like the mouth of the Loxahatchee River in Jupiter and Sailfish Flats in Stuart. The deeper channels and sand flats make them ideal locations for the fish to swim in and out with the tides. Jan 3rd, 2017
