How do we slow the flow of freshwater and toxic blue-green algae that’s pouring into our estuaries? Bait has moved in along the beaches, bringing a lot of big fish with it. Walton Rocks Beach, near the power plant, has been holding a lot of bait and fish. First light, the tarpon are rolling and splashing along the first trough where the bait can be found. Capt. Chris SharpAug 3rd, 2016
Look to run out 5-to-8 miles to find the dolphin bite. Most will be small, but there are chances for a big bull. The wahoo bite is also something not to forget about. As usual running baits on a downrigger anywhere from 60-to-80 feet below surface will give you an opportunity to land a wahoo. Brian NelliAug 2nd, 2016

Snook, jacks, tarpon and permit will be migrating along the beaches, as will cobia, which are trying to feed on freshly hatched turtles as they make their way to open water. Dolphin wahoo, blackfin tuna and sailfish will be along the reefs and current edges of the Gulf Stream and these hot summer months are the ideal time to put a bait deep on your downrigger.Capt.
