[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he first inshore tournament for the 2015-16 season for the Senior Division of Treasure Coast Casters took place on July 19. Even with cold water, the weather was perfect.
Five Treasure Coast Junior members, who worked very hard to get their boater safety card so they could move to the Senior Division, were welcomed to the group—Brayden Adams, Colt Krischke, Riley Orr, Michael Rochedieu and Kaitlyn Ward. The five new Senior Division members had a great day and catching fish was just a bonus.
In the Middle School Division, Colt Krischke caught a 2.3-pound sheepshead and two mangrove snapper. Michael Rochedieu caught a nice mangrove snapper and Kaitlyn Ward caught two trout, with one weighing 1.13-pounds. In the High School Division, Savannah Ward weighed in the only fish, a 1.8-pound trout.
The Biggest Fish award went to Colt Krischke for his sheepshead. Along with a gift bag and trophy, he received a Fishing Center gift card, which was donated by Treasure Coast Casters’ volunteers, Pat and Gwen.
Besides winning trophies, the first place winners in each division, received a $25 West Marine gift card.
Tournament directors, Cammie and Capt. Joe Ward wish to thank the group’s boat volunteers, “We couldn’t do without them”.
