[dropcap]T[/dropcap]reasure Coast Caster’s (TCC) Junior Division ‘from the shore’ tournament was held September 13, 2015. The weather was beautiful, the rain and lightning held off, but the love bugs were out in full force!
A total of 18 fish were caught and released, with puffer fish being the fish of the day. One notable catch was a 1.10-pound mutton snapper caught by Phillip DiMarco. Other fish brought in included 2 catfish, a hornbelly, 3 snapper, and 12 puffers.
RESULTS
1st Place: Thomas Parramore, 2nd grade, Fairlawn Elementary, Fort Pierce
2nd Place: Jake Lee, 4th grade, Liberty Baptist, Fort Pierce
3rd Place: Kalen Kneip, 5th grade, Bayshore Elementary, Port St Lucie
Biggest Fish of the tournament went to Phillip Dimarco for his 1.10-pound mutton snapper. Phillip is in the fourth grade at Palm Pointe in Port St. Lucie.
First through third place anglers, as well as the biggest fish winner, were given trophies and/or medals, as well as goodie bags that had D.O.A. Lures and other items donated by TCC volunteers Pat and Gwen.
New members welcomed to the group this tournament were Dominic and Phillip DiMarco, Braden and Breanna Elmer, and Jake Lee. All of them received a fishing towel, donated by Pat and Gwen.
