[dropcap]B[/dropcap]ait, bait!! This has been one of the best mullet runs in a long time! The bait has been from the powerlines in Port St. Lucie to the Jensen Beach Causeway for over two weeks. In November, cold fronts and wind will come through and that will change what we will be catching. On the beach it will be packs of jacks and schools of bluefish. What bait is left will be attacked by these hungry fish. Spoon thrown out in the surf will get it done and you will be going home with a bucket full of blues. First light will be the best time. The river will be full of big trout called Gators! Throw top water first thing in the morning and then go to the cork with a live shrimp and you will get these to eat. Powerlines and Walton are the best bet with waders; grass flats will hold these hungry guys. Redfish will turn on too with the cooler weather. A gold spoon can’t be beat so grab some and go catching. Snook fishing will be on fire near bridges. Fish the current with Flair Hawks, wait for the thump and hold on! These fish will be big. Look for northwest or northeast winds to turn the bite on. Tight lines and Happy Thanksgiving.
