More Boats Will Dock at Georgia’s Biggest Boat Show

Get Ready To Board The 2016 Atlanta Boat Show Jan. 14-17!

Forget the winter chills and set sail for sunny days at Georgia’s largest nautical extravaganza, the 2016 Progressive Insurance Atlanta Boat Show, returning to the Georgia World Congress Center Jan. 14-17. With even more boats than before, in its 53rd year the Southeast’s premier boating event will feature hundreds of the latest boat models for sale, from personal watercraft (i.e. jet skis) and pontoons to luxury yachts and bass boats, along with an amazing array of boating gear and accessories.

The entire family can enjoy boating attractions such as the Let’s Go Fishing Center, where professional anglers lead hourly seminars, as well as an expanded series of boater safety and sailing seminars and a Boating Simulator. Little boaters will reel in the fun at the Catch & Release Pond and in the new Kid Zone, which will feature boat building, face painting, a bounce house, temporary tattoos, balloon art and more!

Georgia’s premier boat show is the best place to see and buy boats, gear and accessories. If it’s for boating, you’ll find it here! Hundreds of new boats, including powerboats, center consoles, ski boats and personal watercraft, and booths showcasing the latest in engines, marine gear, electronics and accessories fill the Georgia World Congress Center. And there’s no better time to buy! The four-day event is your once-a-year chance to compare makes and models, secure insurance and financing and gear up with the latest accessories all at one time!

The Boating Simulator allows attendees to take a boating lesson without leaving dry land. The United States Power Squadrons will display their new Boating Skills Virtual Trainer (BSVT). This small boat simulator features a steering wheel and real Mercury throttle you can use to take a virtual boat trip on a lake with other sail and power boats, navigation aids and a full marina for close-quarters maneuvers and docking. Instructors can vary the difficulty by changing wind and current direction, velocity and day/night scenarios. It’s a fun, easy way to boost your boating skills.
