Fishing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I think I got my first Zebco combo when I was four years old. At ten, I couldn’t wait to get home from school so I could ride my bike to the local golf course to chase largemouth bass. Fast forward forty years and fishing has become my life. As the editor and publisher of Coastal Angler Fort Lauderdale, it’s now what I do for a living. I certainly don’t get to go fishing as much as I’d like to anymore. Running a monthly magazine is very much a deadline driven business and sometimes requires working on nights and weekends. When I can get away to fish, the weather doesn’t always cooperate. It’s just the way the pickle squirts sometimes. However, loving what you do helps to balance that out. I’m lucky to be able to work in the sport that I love. I actually think that I have learned to appreciate each day that I do get out on the water even more.
This November edition of Coastal Angler Fort Lauderdale is our twelfth and marks one year since we acquired the franchise. Over the last twelve months, we have been fortunate to establish solid relationships within the fishing community, especially with our advertising partners and for that, we are extremely grateful. As we move forward into the holiday season, we will continue to do all that we can to promote your businesses and send our readers your way. We wish all of you a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving.
Keep reelin,
