February will be full of chilly days, but the fish will likely keep biting! Fish are still going to be looking for food in all of the classic winter time spots along the river. Many fish can be found near warm water discharges throughout the rest of the colder months. This isn’t your only hope this time of year, a few nice stripers are relating to current in the upper portions of the river still. Crappie anglers have had good success around brush piles as usual and I’m sure this won’t slow down very much; these fish are locked in! With the cold temperatures the river can seem like a ghost town some days but the fish surely can’t go anywhere, you just have to get out and locate them!
