Ever get tired of looking for a specific leader spool or the cutters to cut it?
Well, this new product solves both problems with a lightweight, compact design.
The scenario: a hot snook bite is exploding, you get cut off, and you want to rerig as quickly as possible. You pull out the leader length you need, cut it quickly with the built-in ceramic cutter, and tie it on in seconds. You don’t have to look for the right leader or where you put the cutters down; everything is at your fingertips, right when you need it. This is especially handy if you are wade fishing or do not have another setup at your disposal. Now, even if you are on a boat with other setups, it gives you a docking station where you can take the holder in and out, while keeping it securely on your center console for convenience.
You can mount it almost anywhere. It comes with a sturdy belt clip that attaches to your waders, so it’s ready to go and secure. The replaceable ceramic cutter will not rust in saltwater, so no worries. It also has a hook pad to hold a few hooks or jigs, so everything is at your fingertips.
As of now, it will hold standard leader spools like Trik Fish, Ande, Triple Fish, and Grand Slam style spools. I spoke with the owner, and we also need it to hold Seaguar-style leader spools. I’ve shared a few design suggestions, and it is in the works to hold multiple spools and both styles, but for now, if you use the first style of spools, this would be a great addition to your arsenal.
