Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing!” to host co-ed Bimini, Bahamas fishing adventure Sept. 11-13
[dropcap]L[/dropcap]adies, Let’s Go Fishing, the producer of weekend fishing universities, is offering a trip to Bimini, Bahamas for a weekend of fishing and fun, Bahamas style. While the focus remains on women, participants are encouraged to bring male significant others.
Starting at $139 per person, the registration includes round-trip transportation via the World Resorts Bimini Superfast ten-story cruise ship, two night’s ship stay lodging, meals and ship-board entertainment. Fishing in the Bahamas is optional in addition to several optional island excursions. No fishing equipment is necessary. Port charges and fishing reservations are additional.

Bimini Big Game Club names Misty Wells Tournament Director
[dropcap]M[/dropcap]isty Wells, a competitive angler and outdoors events marketer known as the âOutdoor Darlinâ, has been named as Tournament Director for the Bimini Big Game Club Resort and Marina.
A Florida native, Wells is a lifelong angler having participated as a member of a womenâs team competing in numerous Florida tournaments, including Key West Marlin, Key West Kingfish, King of the Beach, Islamorada Sea Hunter Owners and Suncoast Kingfish Classic and Bill Curry Ford Ladies Tournament. Wells, a pro staff angler, is also the first female selected to fish in the Offshore Fishing League (OFL), which is launching its debut on NBC Sports to premiere in the fall of 2016. OFL is the worldâs first professional saltwater sport fishing league with 30 elite teams comprised of captains, anglers and deckhands.
First up on the agenda for Wells is the Wahoo Smackdown VII, scheduled for November 12-14 2015. Last November, a record 29 boats participated in the tournament with heaviest fish honors (47.6 pounds) going to team âCash Out.â Heaviest five fish over two days trophy went to team âFishin a Loan.â

Bimini Big Game Club completes Phase 1 of $5.6 million renovation
[dropcap]C[/dropcap]ome on in- the waterâs fineâ, is the new mantra for the Bimini Big Game Club Resort and Marina. Featuring a new family-sized pool, two completely re-built docks at the 75-slip marina, and several improvements to the boutique resortsâ 51-rooms, Bimini Big Game Club Resort and Marina is looking forward to a very busy summer season.
Phase I of the renovation program entailed demolition of the existing pool and rebuilding a brand new, larger pool (44â by 60â), updating for the 75-slip marina (docks A and B), and several other capital improvements to the property, including landscaping for the entire resort, painting interiors and exteriors, and new windows, sliding glass doors and ceiling tiles.
A second phase of work will be completed in the fall, including a C Dock re-build.
