[dropcap]T[/dropcap]here will be plenty of fish to catch in July. However, red snapper, amberjack and triggerfish will be closed. Red snapper season could be extended so check the latest fishing regulations. Amberjack season will open August 1st. Spanish mackerel and king mackerel can be kept and are good fish to target by trolling spoons. Gag grouper season will open July 1st. There will be some gag grouper caught within 20 miles, but we will look for the larger grouper in depths beyond 100 feet. You can still keep vermillion snapper, white snapper (red porgy), scamp and red grouper. July is a good month to target mahi mahi, wahoo and marlin in the offshore waters. Deep drop fishing should produce some golden tilefish, snowy grouper and yellowedge grouper. As you can see, there are plenty of choices. Plan a fishing experience to remember for yourself, your friends, or family. Let’s go fishing.
