[dropcap]J[/dropcap]une is here and also good fishing. Nearshore fishing is producing Spanish mackerel, king mackerel and bonita. All you need is 4 hours of fishing to target these nearshore fish.

Red snapper season is open June 1st through June 9th in Federal waters. We still have vermillion snapper and white snapper (red porgy) open along with the mackerel.

Offshore bottomfishing for vermillion snapper, white snapper, red grouper and scamp grouper should be good in June. Wahoo have already been caught this year. As you can see, we still have some variety of fish to target.

Offshore trolling for tuna, wahoo and marlin has been good. The offshore oil rigs have been giving us some good fishing.

Deepdrop fishing for snowy grouper, yellow edge grouper, seabass and golden tilefish has been good. This is a great option on your offshore trolling trip or offshore bottomfishing trip.
Enjoy some awesome fishing and just being on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.

Costa Rica fishing has been red hot with huge catches of sailfish. A world record was broken during the first 3 days of the Offshore World Championship 2014. There were over 2400 sailfish caught and released. Best fishing in Costa Rica is November through June. December through May is the dry season. www.fishingcostarica.net
