Meet Captain T.J. Ott from National Geographic Channel’s Wicked Tuna

Capt. T.J. Ott was born and raised on a small island just outside New York City called Broad Channel. Fishing and hunting have always been a staple in his family’s life. Fishing would eventually take his father, Tim Sr., to Gloucester, Mass. in search of giant bluefin in 1989. T.J. spent every summer on those docks in Cape Ann fishing with his father and anyone else who would take him.

When Capt. T.J. turned 20 years old, he began to captain the family boat, the Hot Tuna. Capt. T.J. has caught hundreds of giant bluefin tuna from the Gulf of Maine to the Outer Banks of the Carolinas. When not chasing bluefin tuna, T.J. resides in Key West, Fla. doing light-tackle charters chasing a variety of inshore and offshore species. Fishing isn’t just a job for T.J. It’s a way of life and his passion.

Catch him on National Geographic’s hit show Wicked Tuna and Wicked Tuna North vs. South.

T.J. will meet fans at the Atlantic City Boat Show on the following schedule:

Friday: 1-3 p.m. & 5-7 p.m.

Saturday: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. & 3 p.m.-5p.m.
