It’s no secret by a long shot. Everybody knows that scallop season here in Citrus County is in full force. If you don’t know, then like I always say, you’ve either been in a coma or playing way too much golf. However there’s a lot of folks that see a lot of people holding a bag of scallops in the shell but don’t realize just what the end result will bring to the dinner table. So to give you some idea of what you’re bringing home if two people went scalloping and got their limit of 2 gallons per person in the shell.
IF This being a qt. Ziplock bag. And IF 2 pints make 1 qt. And IF your allowed 1 pint of cleaned scallop meat per person per day. Then this is this couples limit today of fresh cleaned bay scallop meat! Definitely enough for a meal. Oh, but they were glad there were 4 more peeps on da boat, to contribute to their 10 gallons of scallops in da shell, or 1/2 gallon limit of scallop meat per vessel that they got that day. And 1 of the 6 don’t even eat scallops. Just loved to catch em. Just so’s ya no.
And the fun adventurous trip is worth every penny.
