IJet Charters and Tropic Ocean Airways Launch New Abaco Service

Beginning February 2014, travelers to and from Abaco will have a new public charter flight option. Fort Lauderdale-based Tropic Ocean Airways, which re-instituted regular seaplane service to the region in 2012, is partnering with IJet Charters, also based in Fort Lauderdale, to offer direct scheduled public charter flights to Hope Town, Abaco. Direct scheduled chartered flights from Fort Lauderdale initially will be available on Fridays and Sundays. Flying out of Sheltair at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL), the eight-passenger Cessna Caravan Amphibian Turbo Jet flight time to Hope Town is approximately an hour and 10 minutes. Roundtrip tickets are expected to be priced at $699 per person inclusive of all taxes and fees. Charters are available immediately. Sheltair also provides a free shuttle service for those connecting through the main terminal, as well as free parking. The Bahamas Billfish Championship Early Bird is Back

The BBC Early Bird Savings are back, but not for long. Sign-up and enter any or all of the Bahamas Billfish Championship’s 2014 tournaments before December 31st and SAVE.

For the upcoming season the BBC tournament schedule was designed with our angler/businessmen and professionals in mind. First, we’re back to fishing Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Second, all four tournaments are in the billfish rich waters of Abaco. And third, the tournaments are spaced one-week apart during May and June, the top months for blue marlin in The Bahamas.

Enter all four tournaments and save $1,200 (10%). Enter one, two or three tournaments and save 5% or as much as $900. It does not matter which tournament or tournaments you enter just remember that to qualify for the savings we must receive your entry by December 31st.
