The battle raged all summer long. The Bass Fishing Kids Tournament that started in February as a tournament within each county came to the end of the line with the Palm Beach and Broward face off.

The top 20 kids fished their hearts out hoping to win the 2014 Classic. After the tournament, all of the anglers and their families were treated to a barbecue before the results were announced.

Jessie Saunders, of Lake Worth, has been fishing the Bass Fishing Kids Trails Palm Beach for the last four years. He qualified for last year’s 2013 Classic and finished in second place. Knowing this year’s Classic was his last chance to win, as he’ll soon turn 18 and will no longer be able to fish the trail, Jesse pulled out all the stops to win the 2014 Bass Fishing Kids, Inc. – Palm Beach County Classic held at Okeeheelee Park.

The first-place prize was Bass Hunter boat, Minn Kota trolling motor, Humminbird color fish Finder and an Interstate Battery.

Second place went to Brittney Scott, of Pompano Beach. Third place went to Robert DiNino, of Pembroke Pines. The Big Fish of 2014 went to Brook Scott, of Pompano Beach, for a 4.19-pound fish. Angler of the Year Small Fry Division was won by Robert DiNino. Angler of the Year Junior Division went to Austin Miller, of Lake Worth.
