Best of Franchise Awards 2012

Corporate personnel and co-publishers, sales reps and editors representing 44 Coastal Angler Magazine and The Angler franchises from across the county joined 9,000 fellow members of the global sportfishing community at the 55th International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades, better know as ICAST, held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., July 11-13.

During opening morning ceremonies at the Coastal Angler Magazine/The Angler exhibition booth individual awards of excellence were presented to 15 franchises for achievements during the past year. 2012 Awards went out to:

  • 2012 Best Distributor Award- John Laymac (Atlanta, GA)
  • 2012 Best Editor Award – George Regan & Alan Eisner (Boston)
  • 2012 Best Local Editorial Content- Ken Lyons ( Kentucky)
  • 2012 Best Branding Effort – Frank & Paula Stanley (Corpus Christi & San Antonio, TX)
  • 2012 Best Deadliner Award – John Short (Connecticut)
  • 2012 Fearless Award – Cary & Lynn Crutchfield (North Central, FL)
  • 2012 Best Use of Website- Gary & Misti Guertin (Bahamas & Treasure Coast)
  • 2012 Congeniality Award – Bill Chapman (Alabama Gulf Coast)
  • 2012 Most Improved – Bruno Prager (New Orleans)
  • 2012 Most Improved Resale – Laird Summerlin & Linda Lawley (Hilton Head/Edisto)
  • 2012 Best Contributor to the System – Mac & Pat McKinney (Ft. Lauderdale)
  • 2012 Best First Edition – Steve Wild (Middle Tennessee)
  • 2012 Rookie of the Year – Alan Hamilton (Charleston)
  • 2012 Star Producer- Ben Bloodworth (Mississippi Gulf Coast)
  • 2012 Franchisee of the Year – Ken Lyons (Kentucky)
