caught this 27inches Snook in Sebastian inlet.
Catch and Release, my first ever Snook! My husband, Dennis and I moved to Sebastian a little over a year ago after he retired from Florida State Prison as Administrative Lieutenant for Mental Health. We have always participated in fundraisers for Wolfsons Childrens Hospital and Haven Hospice by fishing for bass, even had a few tournaments under our belts for King Fish and Wahoo. Found out about a local tournament to raise money for Treasure Coast kids at Christmas and we were in!!!!! Because we were last minute we were forced to learn how to fish for Snook and we did amazing!! Actually turned out to be very similar to bass fishing and my husband “walked the dog” all day and I used a small swim bait with slow retrieve. Caught 15 Snook, 2 Redfish, 1 Tarpon and 1 Salt water Catfish and released everyone! So happy to be here in Sebastian and be able to celebrate my husbands birthday on the water!
