caught this 38 inches Snook in Bull Bay, Placida Fl..
I caught the snook on a small paddle tail, Slam Shady 2.0 in a #3/0 Owner Twist Lock hook. Caught it away from the mangroves, luckily, otherwise it would have gone into them and likely break me off. I took a friend’s grandson out fishing coaching him so he could catch a snook. I just made a random cast while he was casting to two snook up by the mangroves. The picture is the result.
